One of the features that made the FCC Hong Kong one of the world’s great press clubs is the range and quality of speakers.

Eric hosted some major figures in world media at the club, including New York Times publisher A.G. Sulzberger, Rappler CEO Maria Ressa, Committee to Protect Journalists executive director Joel Simon and Sonny Swe, founder of Frontier Magazine and a fierce defender of press freedom in Myanmar.

Eric also hosted panels in the club’s annual journalism conference, discussions on fake news and journalists’ safety.
